The case of Amrita’s shades
“Stars aa rahe hain,” is how Amrita Rao and Hurman Baweja’s trip to a store in a crowded Delhi market was announced.
Amrita, evidently, did not like the hustle-bustle and appeared quite uncomfortable. As the shutterbugs asked her to pose, which she gladly did, she politely turned down the request to take off her shades. “Ma’am, can you take off the goggles, please?” said our lensman. “No, I can’t do that as my make-up is spoilt,” was Amrita’s prompt reply. We tried to coax her again, but the actress just turned around, touched-up and was back with the shades still on. “I am telling you, my make-up is all smudged, so, I am not going to remove my shades,” she insisted.
