Should Katrina be worried?
Of course Kat should worry. Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone are both beautiful young girls whose smiles light up the screen. There’s only one real difference: Deepika can actually act, unlike wooden-faced Kat. Remember that scene in Race where Kat has a breakdown? Those sobs sounded dangerously close to nervous laughter. Now compare that to Deepika’s dying scene in OSO – those eyes will haunt you forever!
This is a whole new year – why should Akshay stay on with an old heroine? So… time for Kat to move over!
No. Absolutely not! Katrina has more than proved her track record with Akshay. Can you imagine anyone else playing her role in Namastey London? At least in that movie, Akki could not have done without Kat, phoren accent and all. Katrina and Akshay have a special chemistry on screen and an easy camaraderie off it. Remember how chilled they were on Salman’s Dus Ka Dum show? It’s going to take Deepika years and years to get into that groove. So Kat, watch Chandni Chowk To China and laugh, knowing you will remain King Kumar’s number one heroine.
