‘Ishmeet Singh’
Ishmeet Singh, a young teenager from Ludhiana, who went on to become the ‘Voice of India’, is no longer with us. The 19-year old singer from Punjab arrived at Maldives on Tuesday July 29th morning to perform for a musical which was to be hosted on Friday.
Ishmeet along with his friends headed for a swim at the pool at Hotel Chaaya Island Dhonveli in North Male; an official from the resort confirmed, “Ishmeet had been frolicking in a shallow pool meant for children on Tuesday and later jumped into the deep-end of the main swimming pool and had immediately run into difficulty.” Ishmeet was rushed to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival. His sudden and untimely death has come as a big shock to his family in Ludhiana and the Bollywoodmusic industry.
Ishmeet’sdad Gurpinder and his mom are completely devastated by his death. Ishmeet had made his entire Sikh community proud by becoming the first Sikh to win a reality show; meanwhile, all Sikh schools in Delhi would remain closed on Wednesday, July 30th in the wake of the unfortunate incident; they want to pay tribute to the Singh, who was trulythe King.
